Thanksgiving on Ambergris Cay!

 

Thanksgiving Day is a time of family gatherings, offering thanks, and great meals! And Ambergris Cay was no different over the busy holiday weekend. This past Weekend saw the arrival of many members and prospects to the Cay, as they took in some sun, enjoyed activities and celebrated the holiday tradition.   

 

In celebration of the holiday, a number of gatherings took place. Tuesday, November 24th started of the holiday with an enjoyable island style BBQ where members, prospect and staff gathered under the moon lid sky on the beach at the Chiki Hut.

 

On Thursday, the Cay celebrated a traditional Thanksgiving dinner at the Calico Jack Pavilion where Jacob, Tadd and the Calico Jack Pavilion staff prepared a mouth watering menu with a wide selection of choices including a main course of Cornbread Stuffing with Virginia Ham, Chestnuts, and Sage, Roast Turkey with Bacon-Herb served with a choice of Cider or Garlic Gravy and Cranberry Chutney.

 

To End the busy weekend, members and prospects got the chance to dine at the Environmental Learning Center in Salt Raker’s Cove and enjoyed a delicious Surf and Turf dinner.
